etsy finds for the home

As we navigate our first home buying experience, I've had nothing but nesting on the brain.

Here are three pretty offerings from Etsy that make excited about settling into our new space in the next few months.

These porcelain egg planters ($17; available here) would add a nice pop of springtime to the mantel.

This super feminine cafe apron makes me want to whip up a tasty brunch ($32, available here).

That industrial panel would make an interesting addition to a living room wall ($86, available here).

winter sun cocktail

It's a grey, rainy day here in Nashville. The sort of day that makes you wonder if you spring will ever come...

Fear not, friends. We may still have a few weeks until it's time to "spring" forward, but it's still clementine season and the fab food site Two Tarts has a rad cocktail recipe called the Winter Sun Cocktail that is sure to brighten your day.

Made with lemons, clementines, vodka and rosemary...this drink may be just the ticket to shaking off those last few weeks of the "winter blues."

Click here to see the rest of gorgeous pics and grab the recipe. Cheers!

P.S. We spent last weekend in a cabin celebrating my pal R's birthday. We ate a million clementines, played cards, played with dogs, drank wine and listened to Lana Del Rey. May I suggest a sipping the above concoction to "Born to Die?"

long time, no see!

Happy Monday, long lost friends! Remember me?

To say that my postings have been infrequent over the past few months would be too kind. What can I say? It's been hectic. The move, a big birthday, opening a restaurant and buying our first house? Yeah...not too much to update you on...

For now, I'll gloss over those details to say simply "I'm baacck."

On that note, I'm obsessed with lovely lady's glasses in the above shot. They look strikingly similar to these Ricky frames from Lookmatic.

I'm considering ordering a pair of those very Lookmatic frames for $95. Though they are the same price as Warby Parker's specs, Lookmatic offers both medium and large sizes making melon heads like myself most grateful.
