Last week, I hit up the uber trendy Beauty & Essex on the Lower East Side with some lovely lady pals for a fun girly dinner. After all, there were birthdays and job changes to be celebrated!
Behind the restaurant's pawn shop entrance, lies a world of decadent cocktails, delicious small plates and some seriously flashy decor. A fur wall, a pearl chandelier and an upstairs dining room decorated with framed gold lockets? Yes, please!

My verdict? Go there and be happy, ladies (and gentlemen, as well).
