globes (and maps)
As a kid, I was obsessed with globes and maps. After working in children's books, I came to realize that this fascination was a trait not exclusive to me. Still, I can remember spending hours in my grandparents' home spinning their large stand-up globe round and round to discover new spots.
As of late, I've been in the market for a vintage globe that would make a great addition to our bedroom bookcase. Don't globes look sharp on these shelves?
On that note, a gallery of framed maps could also strike my fancy.
What say you guys? Would you ever decorate with globes and maps or do they make you feel like you're trapped in history class?
P.S. Apparently, this time of year makes me want to explore. Remember this post about framing maps in unconventional ways? Italy has such a fun shape.
